Spring Grove, PA – Head-on Collision with Injuries on Hanover Rd

Spring Grove, PA (September 9, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious head-on collision that took place in Spring Grove on Thursday evening, September 8.

According to Manchester Township Police Department officials, the accident happened at 500 Hanover Road at 6:45 p.m. Police confirmed that a 47-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Corolla in the area. She suddenly crossed over the center line and slammed head-on into a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 28-year-old woman due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were both badly damaged in the collision.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The two drivers, as well as a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old in the Toyota, were all injured. The parties were rushed to local hospitals, some of which sustained serious injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
