Bridesburg, PA – Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash at Bridge St & Tacony St

Bridesburg, PA (September 10, 2022) – Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, September 9, a man was killed in a Bridgesburg motorcycle crash.

According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Bridge Street and Tacony Street. A 59-year-ole man was driving a motorcycle in the area when a minivan started to make a turn at Bridge Street in front of him. The two vehicles slammed into one another as a result, which led to extensive damages.

Several local responders, including Bridgesburg paramedics and fire crews, were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. The 59-year-old motorcyclist was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. A female passenger in the minivan, who has not yet been formally identified, was rushed to Temple University Hospital after her arm was severed in the collision.

Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time.
