Birdsboro, PA – Possible DUI Accident with Injuries at PA-422 & Center Rd

Birdsboro, PA (September 11, 2022) – On Monday night, September 5, a possible DUI accident caused injuries at an intersection in Birdsboro.

According to Berks County officials, the accident happened at an unknown time at the intersection of PA-422 and Center Road. Police confirmed that two teens were in a vehicle when they suddenly crashed into another vehicle at the intersection. One of the vehicles overturned in the collision, causing extensive damages.

Several Birdsboro responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene. A passenger was trapped inside one of the vehicles and was extricated by witnesses to the accident. The driver of the other involved vehicle was injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. The teens were allegedly driving in possession of alcohol and may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
