Rapho Twp., PA – Two Hurt in Crash on Rte 72 Near Pinch Rd

Rapho Township, PA (March 17, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle crash on Monday, March 16, at approximately 12:40 p.m., that left two people injured on the 2000 block of Route 72 (Lebanon Road) near Pinch Road.

Authorities reported that two vehicles were involved in the crash, and both drivers became trapped inside their vehicles. Emergency responders, including Penn Medicine 1, a physician-response unit equipped with advanced life-saving equipment, were dispatched to the scene.

First responders worked to extricate the occupants and provide medical care before both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials stated that one vehicle remained on the roadway while the other left the road and came to rest in a nearby field. Due to the severity of the crash, the Lancaster County Joint Crash Team responded to conduct an investigation.

Route 72 was shut down between Pinch Road and East Mount Hope Road for several hours as crews worked at the scene. Emergency personnel were still present as of approximately 3:15 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
