Ebensburg, PA – Richard Bartoletti Killed in Fatal Car Crash on PA-22

Ebensburg, PA (February 14, 2022) – On Friday night, February 11, a man was killed in a fatal car crash in Ebensburg involving two vehicles.

Cambria County officials confirmed that the accident happened on PA-22 around 10 p.m. They claim that 76-year-old Richard Bartoletti was traveling in the area when his vehicle slowed down in the passing lane due to unknown reasons. Suddenly, a van came along in the area and slammed into his vehicle from behind. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged as a result.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Due to his severe injuries, Bartoletti was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. It is not believed that anyone else was injured in the collision.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
