Wyalusing, PA – Donald Allis Killed in Pedestrian Accident on CC Allis Rd
Wyalusing, PA (February 10, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Wednesday morning, February 9, in Wyalusing.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 7:51 a.m. on CC Allis Road. Police confirmed that an elderly man identified as 80-year-old Donald Allis was walking in the area. He attempted to cross the road when he was suddenly struck by 27-year-old Ryan Strope in the southbound lane. The driver remained at the scene of the crash.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Allis was severely injured and tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Strope did not sustain injuries in the collision.
The roadway was blocked for several hours as police worked to clear the scene. Traffic resumed as normal around 12:45 p.m.
