Winfield Twp., PA (October 15, 2023) – The Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that an automobile accident on Friday evening in Winfield Township claimed the lives of two victims.
On October 13, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of an accident on Winfield Road.
Reports show that a collision involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of Winfield Road and Brose Road. The incident prompted officials to shut down the roadway.
Authorities confirmed that a 12-year-old boy from Saxonburg and 65-year-old David Faulx were both fatally injured in the accident. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigations show that a 1999 Jeep Wrangler was involved in a collision with a semi-truck near the intersection at around 9:55 p.m.
The truck driver, identified as 29-year-old Hunter Cathcart, was treated for injuries at the scene.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
