Upper Darby, PA (June 24, 2022) – A man in a wheelchair was injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in Upper Darby on Thursday evening, June 23.
According to Upper Darby Police, the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at 6900 Market Street. A driver was traveling in the area when they suddenly ran over the foot of a man in a wheelchair who was traveling across the street. The driver immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who was identified as a man in his 40s, was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
