Uniontown, PA - One Dead, One Injured in Car Crash on Rte 40

Uniontown, PA (March 19, 2025) – According to Pennsylvania State Police, one person was killed, and another was injured in a crash along Route 40 outside Uniontown early Tuesday morning.

The vehicle crash happened along Route 40 near the Kwik Fill gas station in Menallen Township around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, dispatchers said. Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need, though one person was in serious condition while another was pronounced dead at the site.

The roadway was blocked in the area for several hours as police worked to clear the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues, however.
