Pottsville, PA – James Davidson Killed in Fatal Collision at Bulls Head Rd & Elm St

Pottsville, PA (April 17, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, April 16, a man was killed in a fatal car accident at an intersection in Pottsville.

According to Schuylkill County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Bulls Head Road and Elm Street. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they stopped at the stop sign. One of the drivers went through the stop sign when his vehicle was struck by a second vehicle driven by Jori Stefnic of Pottsville.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the first vehicle, identified as James Davidson, was rushed to Lehigh Valley East Hospital for treatment of severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead while there.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.

The investigation into the collision continues at this time. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.
