Abbottstown, PA (April 18, 2023) – Around 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, a major truck accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Abbottstown.
According to Adams County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of PA-194 and Mill Race Road. Police confirmed that an enterprise rental truck and a flatbed truck collided near the intersection of Meadowbrook Auto Sales. Both of the vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed away from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties had to be extricated from their vehicles by fire crews. The victims were then taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
