Bucks County, PA (February 19, 2025) – Officials say that six people are recovering after a fire destroyed a home in Bucks County.
News footage showed the flames that tore through the home on the 5200 block of Merganser Way around 5:00 a.m. on Monday. All six victims were treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns; three people jumped from an upstairs window to escape the flames.
However, the investigation into the circumstances of the fire continued, and witnesses were asked to contact local authorities or Pennsylvania State Police fire marshals.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of their full recovery.
Residential fires take place every single day in Pennsylvania. Though some are quickly brought under control by fire crews, others blaze out of control and lead to extensive damage. Some fires lead to fatalities in those involved. In 2020, it was reported that approximately six people were killed out of every 1,000 fires throughout Pennsylvania.
