Pedestrian Accidents in Pennsylvania

2/10 Pittsburgh, PA – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash at Wilkins Ave & Beechwood Blvd

Because pedestrians have few protections from harm in the event of accidents, they are likely to become seriously injured or killed in fatal pedestrian accidents. Pedestrians are supposed to be offered special protections on our roads so that accidents do not take place. However, these accidents still occur in the blink of an eye due to the carelessness of others. Between 2012 and 2020, it was reported that an average of 158 pedestrians lost their lives in Pennsylvania pedestrian accidents, and many others were seriously injured. Following a serious pedestrian crash, you should speak with an attorney who has handled these types of cases in the past.

After a pedestrian accident, you may wonder what options you have moving forward with a claim. Many severe physical injuries stem from pedestrian accidents in Pittsburgh, which include the following:

  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs)
  • Internal organ damage
  • Fractures
  • Paralysis

The injuries that stem from a pedestrian accident tend to land victims in the hospital for a long period of time, as well as cause them to miss out on time in the workplace. A pedestrian who has been hurt in an accident might not be able to return to the daily activities that they once enjoyed. If you have sustained injuries in one of these accidents, you should speak with a knowledgeable Pittsburgh personal injury lawyer who can handle your claim from start to finish.
