Dover, PA – Teen Killed in Fatal Crash at E Canal Rd & Fox Run Rd

Dover, PA (April 3, 2022) – A teen was killed in a fatal crash that took place at an intersection in Dover on Saturday afternoon, April 2.

According to York County officials, the accident happened at 3:18 p.m. at the intersection of East Canal Road and Fox Run Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A 16-year-old girl, who was a front seat passenger in one of the vehicles, was severely injured and rushed to WellSpan York Hospital. She was tragically pronounced dead while there due to her injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt as a result.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
