Philadelphia, PA – Woman Loses Life in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-676 near MM 5

Philadelphia, PA (October 23, 2023) – The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that a 24-year-old woman lost her life as a result of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning in Philadelphia.

The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on October 22.

According to reports, a 24-year-old woman was involved in a collision on Interstate 676. As a result of the collision, her vehicle became disabled on the westbound side of the roadway near mile marker 5.

While waiting for emergency assistance after the accident, the woman’s vehicle was struck by an additional car.

The woman was fatally injured as a result of the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Philadelphia Police Department and firefighters shut down the roadway for approximately five hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. Investigations into the cause of the collision are underway.
