Philadelphia, PA – One Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident in NB Lanes of I-95

Philadelphia, PA (November 7, 2022) – One person sustained injuries as a result of a tractor-trailer accident that took place on a Philadelphia highway on Monday morning, November 7.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Cottman Avenue. Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles were involved in a collision in a construction zone due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles was struck in the rear by the truck and sustained immense damage.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, sustained injuries in the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their condition is not yet known.

Due to the severity of the collision, all northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible but it took three hours for the road to be completely cleared.
