Palmerton, PA – Individual Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on PA-248
Palmerton, PA (May 14, 2023) – Around 9:00 p.m. on the night of Sunday, May 14, one person was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Palmerton.
According to local officials, the accident happened on PA-248 late at night. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the eastbound lanes of the highway when they were involved in a collision with at least one other vehicle. The accident led to extensive damage, and debris was scattered all over the road in the area as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Carbon County responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One individual on the motorcycle, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
All eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked for an extended period of time until police cleared the roadway.
