Harrisburg, PA – Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash at S Cameron St & Market StPa Accident News
Harrisburg, PA (December 9, 2022) – Around 9:30 p.m. on the night of Thursday, December 8, a fatal pedestrian accident happened at an intersection in Harrisburg.
According to Harrisburg Police, the accident happened at the intersection of South Cameron Street and Market Street. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered that a woman and a man were crossing the street when a passenger vehicle headed south struck the two pedestrians. The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Several responders, including Harrisburg paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The adult female pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The man was injured but his condition is not known at this current time.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time following the collision. It is not believed that the driver was charged for his role in the accident at this time.
