Carlisle, PA – Serious Electric Bicycle Accident at S College St & Church Ave

Carlisle, PA (December 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in an electric bicycle accident that took place at an intersection in Carlisle on Friday morning, December 9.

According to Carlisle Police, the accident happened in the early morning hours at the intersection of South College Street and Church Avenue. Police confirmed that am electric bicycle rider was traveling in the area when they became involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle at the intersection. The bicycle was badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were hospitalized but their current condition is not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time following the accident. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
