Norristown, PA – Fatal Motorcycle Crash at E Freedley St & Dekalb St

Norristown, PA (August 13, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place at an intersection in Norristown on Saturday morning, August 13.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of East Freedley Street and Dekalb Street. Police confirmed that an SUV was traveling in the area at the same time as a motorcycle when the two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. The SUV slammed into the motorcycle, throwing the motorcyclist onto the ground.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene but was allegedly not injured.

Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area of the intersection. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released at this time but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
