Springfield Township, PA (September 26, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident was reported in Fayette County on Sunday that claimed the lives of three people.

The accident occurred at around 5:55 p.m. on September 24 in Springfield Township.

According to reports provided by the Pennsylvania State Police, two cars were involved in a collision on the Springfield Pike near Mt Tabor Road. The involved vehicles sustained significant damage due to the accident. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

The Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Department, Normalville Area Fire Department, and Springfield Township Volunteer Hose Company all responded to provide assistance at the scene.

Three people involved in the crash were fatally injured. The victims were identified as 28-year-old Peter Zepf of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 25-year-old Katelin Lorch of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and 38-year-old Raymond Ramage.

Two other victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care.

The accident is currently being investigated.
