West Earl Township, PA (December 24, 2023) – On Friday, December 22, in the late afternoon, crews responded to an accident on Route 222, and at least two people were reportedly injured.
According to West Earl Fire Station 29, at least two drivers collided on the northbound side of the highway after one of the motorists drifted from the southbound side, causing a head-on wreck. One of the cars then flipped over shortly thereafter. Firefighters had to extricate one of the victims, and paramedics transferred that person to an area hospital. The other driver was also hospitalized, though the conditions of both victims remain unknown.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident in the interim. No further details have been provided to the public.
