Lancaster, PA – Samuel King Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Rockvale Rd

Lancaster, PA (April 28, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash that took place on a roadway in Lancaster on Wednesday morning, April 27.

According to West Lampeter Police, the accident happened around 7 a.m. at 1800 Rockvale Road. Police arrived at the scene soon after the accident, where they discovered a man lying unconscious on the road. His damaged scooter was found nearby but the driver who struck him fled the scene of the crash without stopping.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, identified as 43-year-old Samuel King, sustained severe head injuries in the accident. He has since been tragically pronounced deceased.

Police found the suspect vehicle several hours after the accident. However, they reported that they have not yet identified a suspect.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
