Lancaster, PA – Child Injured in Serious Pedestrian Crash on Old Philadelphia Pke
Lancaster, PA (November 17, 2022) – Around 10:55 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, November 16, a child was injured in a pedestrian accident in Lancaster.
According to Lancaster County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike and Campus Drive. A 3-year-old child was struck by a Hyundai Accord that was traveling east at the time. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 65-year-old woman from Conestoga, immediately stopped at the scene and called the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The child, who was severely injured in the accident, was flown by medical helicopter to Hershey Medical Center.
Due to the severity of the accident, the road was blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
