Dubois, PA (November 18, 2022) – On Friday, November 18, one person was killed in a fatal car accident that took place in Dubois, Pennsylvania.
According to Clearfield County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-80 around the area of exit 97. There were massive snow squalls in the area, which is what police believe led to the accident when multiple vehicles lost control. The vehicles collided in a chain-reaction crash that led to extensive damages, with several vehicles crashing off the side of the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is believed that several people also sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic following the accident. This led to extensive delays in the area until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
We offer our warmest condolences to the family and friends of the victim whose life was lost in this accident. We also hope that the injured parties will receive a full recovery.
