Manheim, PA – One Killed in Fatal Three-Vehicle Collision on PA-283

Manheim, PA (October 29, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal three-vehicle collision that took place on a major Manheim highway on Saturday night, October 29.

According to Lancaster County officials, the accident happened at 11 p.m. in the westbound lanes of PA-283 around the area of Esbenshade Road. A total of three vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle collision that took place in the westbound lanes of traffic due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if anyone was hurt in the accident.

The roadway was blocked for approximately five hours as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the collision.
