Chester County, PA (July 3, 2025) – A Chester County man was killed while operating a motorcycle on Wednesday night.
Pennsylvania State Police at Reading say the crash occurred on Morgantown Road at its intersection with the I-176 northbound access ramp on July 2, around 8:00 p.m.
Prior to the crash, Troopers say a Ford Flex was traveling north on Morgantown Road while the motorcyclist was traveling southbound. State Police say the Ford turned left across the southbound lane of Morgantown Road to access the I-176 ramp, accelerating before the motorcyclist passed. State Police say the Ford struck the front of the motorcycle, ejecting the rider.
State Police say the motorcyclist, Tristan Edlund, 29, of Honey Brook, was wearing a helmet and was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. State Police say charges are pending against the 67-year-old Ford driver, though the investigation is ongoing.
We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased victim's family members.
