Seven Injured in Tow Truck and Minivan Crash on Mattson Rd in Concord Twp, PA

Concord Township, PA (June 28, 2026) – Seven people were injured following a collision involving a tow truck and a minivan at Mattson Road and Featherbed Lane in Concord Township on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Reports from emergency radio traffic said that responders arrived to find both vehicles blocking the intersection after the crash. All occupants had exited the vehicles by the time emergency crews reached the scene.

Authorities determined that seven individuals required medical evaluation, including four children. Due to the number of injured parties, officials declared a mass casualty incident to coordinate the response and transportation of patients.

The four children were reported to have sustained noncritical injuries and were transported to a pediatric medical facility for evaluation and treatment. Additional information regarding the remaining occupants and the circumstances surrounding the collision had not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.

We hope that everyone affected by this wreck makes a full recovery.

How Can Multiple Injury Claims Affect a Pennsylvania Car Accident Case?

Accidents involving numerous injured occupants often create more complex insurance and legal issues than a typical two-vehicle collision. When several people require medical treatment following the same crash, investigators and insurance companies must evaluate not only how the collision occurred but also how responsibility and damages may be allocated among the parties involved.

These added layers of review can slow the process and make early documentation especially important for everyone affected.

As the investigation progresses, authorities review police reports, witness statements, vehicle damage, and scene evidence to determine how the crash unfolded and whether one or more drivers contributed to the collision.

Establishing the sequence of events becomes especially important when commercial vehicles, such as tow trucks, are involved, since additional insurance policies or business entities may also need to be considered. In some situations, maintenance records, driver logs, and company procedures may also be examined to clarify liability.

At the same time, each injured person typically has an individual claim based on the specific injuries, medical treatment, and long-term effects they experienced. Even when several family members are involved in the same accident, recovery timelines and medical needs can vary significantly from one person to another, making detailed medical documentation especially important.

Consistent records of treatment, expenses, and recovery progress can help ensure that each claim reflects the true impact of the crash.

Because multiple claims may arise from a single incident, insurance limits and coverage questions can sometimes complicate the recovery process. When available, policy limits are shared among several injured parties, and compensation may need to be carefully evaluated to ensure fairness across all claims.

A legal team may help people affected by a vehicle accident identify all available sources of compensation, coordinate communications with insurers, and ensure that each claim accurately reflects the full extent of the injuries and losses involved.
