
Pittsburgh, PA (March 12, 2026) — On Wednesday morning, March 11, a man was killed in what appears to be a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Davis Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue in the Brighton Heights neighborhood.
When first responders arrived, crews found a man lying in the street with significant head trauma. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, investigators believe the injuries were consistent with those of someone struck by a vehicle. No vehicle remained at the scene. The collision is being investigated by the city’s Collision Investigation Unit.
Parts of Davis and Massachusetts Avenues were temporarily closed while police and first responders examined the scene, collected evidence, and worked to safely reopen the roadway.
