Valley Twp, PA – Torrie Loner Injured in Truck Accident on SR-54

Valley Township, PA (October 10, 2022) – A woman was injured in a serious truck accident that took place on a major roadway in Valley Township on Friday morning, October 7.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on SR-54. Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer was driving up a steep incline on the roadway when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The truck was allegedly driving about 25 miles per hour when the accident occurred.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who has since been identified as 25-year-old Torrie Loner, was seriously injured in the accident. She was rushed to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Nobody else sustained injuries in the collision.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for an extended period of time following the crash as police worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
