Upper Allen Township, PA (December 29, 2024) – Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle crash in Cumberland County on Saturday night.
Upper Allen Police say the crash was at the South Market Street overpass above the Pennsylvania Turnpike. According to police, one of the drivers was reported to be trapped and freed themself from the vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The police investigation showed that one driver failed to maintain their lane, crossing into oncoming traffic and allegedly causing the head-on collision. The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
