Tannersville, PA – Two Killed in Fatal Car Crash at Rte 611 & Rte 715

Tannersville, PA (December 4, 2022) – Around 6:40 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, December 4, two people lost their lives in a fatal car accident in Tannersville.

According to Pocono Township Police Department officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Route 611 and Route 715. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the crash.

Several local responders, including Pocono Township fire crews and EMS crews, were rushed to the scene to help those in need. Multiple people were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. A total of two people, who have not yet been formally identified, were tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Two people sustained injuries and were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
