Philadelphia, PA – Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Aramingo Ave

Philadelphia, PA (November 30, 2022) – Around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, November 26, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Philadelphia, and several others were injured.

According to Philadelphia officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Aramingo Avenue and Castor Avenue. Police were in pursuit of a Cadillac Escalade that was reported stolen in the area. The driver inside the Cadillac was eluding police when he suddenly slammed into two vehicles and struck a man in a wheelchair who was allegedly crossing the street at the time. The four people inside the vehicle then got out and fled the scene on foot.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene. The 38-year-old pedestrian inside the wheelchair was taken to a local hospital but was tragically pronounced dead while there. A 27-year-old woman and an 11-year-old child were inside one of the vehicles that were struck and sustained injuries. They are expected to receive a full recovery.

Police confirmed that one of the suspects involved in the accident was caught. He has since been identified as 19-year-old Efrain Rosario, who has been charged with two gun-related offenses. The other suspects are still on the run, according to recent police reports.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
