Pedestrian Accidents in Pennsylvania

1/25 Philadelphia, PA – Guillermo Ceballo Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Frankford Ave

Pedestrians are some of the most at-risk parties on our roads throughout the entirety of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has high rates of pedestrian-related accidents and injuries every year. On top of this, many lives are lost in these accidents, especially in our large cities like Philadelphia. Between 2012 and 2020, it was reported that an average of 158 pedestrians were killed every year in Pennsylvania pedestrian accidents. Thousands of individuals are also hospitalized with serious injuries stemming from these accidents each year. If you have been hurt in a life-altering pedestrian accident, it is crucial that you speak with an attorney who has your best interests in mind.

Moving forward after a pedestrian accident can be especially difficult if you have sustained serious injuries. Some of these injuries include the following:

  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Internal organ damage
  • Fractures
  • Paralysis

The injuries that a pedestrian sustains in an accident can sometimes be so severe that they land them in the hospital for days, weeks, or even months at a time. On top of this, it can be difficult or even impossible to return to work. Because of this, an injured victim should seek the immediate help of a Philadelphia personal injury attorney.
