Penn Hills, PA – One Person Killed in Fatal Accident on Frankstown Rd

Penn Hills, PA (August 29, 2022) – Early Monday, August 29, a person was killed in a fatal accident that took place in Penn Hills.

According to local officials, the accident took place in the early morning hours at the intersection of Frankstown Road and Robinson Boulevard. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when it was reported that they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe front-end damages as a result of the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. Another person was unconscious at the scene and rushed to the hospital for treatment but was tragically pronounced dead while there.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
