New Holland, PA – Two Injured in Workplace Accident on S Custer Ave

New Holland, PA (April 4, 2022) – Around 1 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, April 3, two people were injured in a workplace accident in New Holland.

According to Lancaster County officials, the incident took place at 500 South Custer Avenue at the Tyson Foods plant. Two workers were working together at the plant when, for reasons that are not entirely known, the workers were splashed by sulfuric acid. These were the only two workers involved in the accident.

Several responders, including paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The two workers received injuries as a result of the accident. However, they are expected to make a full recovery.

The area was blocked for a period of time as fire crews and paramedics brought the situation under control.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
