
Delaware Township, PA (July 26, 2026) – A motorcyclist died and another person was injured after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at State Route 405 and State Route 44 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County, on Saturday afternoon, July 25.
Troopers said 50-year-old Adam Erdly of Montgomery was traveling northbound on State Route 405 when the SUV entered the intersection without clearance while traveling eastbound on State Route 44.
According to investigators, the motorcycle struck the SUV’s passenger-side tire during the collision. Erdly suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported for medical evaluation before later being pronounced dead. Authorities have not released additional details regarding when or where the death occurred.
The SUV driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of reported minor injuries, while the passenger received treatment at the scene for suspected minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
