Hanover, PA (July 4, 2023) – Two people sustained injuries as a result of a four-vehicle accident that took place in Hanover on the morning of Tuesday, July 4.
According to Hanover Police, the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Codorus State Park. Police confirmed that four vehicles became involved in a collision near the handicapped fishing pier due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged and tow trucks were on scene.
Several Hanover responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people, who have not yet been formally identified, sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The parties were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
A large portion of the area was blocked off following the crash as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
