How Do Multi-Vehicle Crash Claims Work in Washington Township, PA

Determining fault in a multi-vehicle crash commonly requires more investigation than a standard two-car collision, since more than one driver's actions may have contributed to how the vehicles ultimately came together.

People involved in a serious multi-vehicle collision usually face a wide range of injuries, such as fractures, head trauma, and internal injuries, and recovery can involve extended hospital stays, surgery, and long-term rehabilitation.

Pennsylvania follows a modified comparative negligence rule, meaning an injured person can recover damages as long as they're found less than 51 percent at fault, though this becomes more complex when many vehicles and their respective insurance companies are involved.

While investigators review how the crash unfolded, a car accident lawyer can help track the findings as they're released and work to determine how fault should be divided among the drivers involved.

Our team at Edelstein, Martin, and Nelson is available to help anyone affected by a crash understand how Pennsylvania's comparative negligence rules might apply to a multi-vehicle case.

Our team can review your police investigation once findings are released and help clarify what a claim might involve for you. You can contact Edelstein, Martin, and Nelson at (888) 630-4409 to discuss your situation with our team and learn more.
