Willow Street, PA – Fatal Car Accident at Eshelman Mill Rd & Locust Ln
Willow Street, PA (March 26, 2023) – One person was killed, and others were injured in a fatal car accident that took place at a Willow Street intersection on the evening of Sunday, March 26.
According to West Lampeter Township Police, the collision happened around 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Eshelman Mill Road and Locust Lane. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided after entering the intersection simultaneously. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision.
Several responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One individual, identified as an 81-year-old woman from Delaware, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The driver and passenger inside one of the involved vehicles were both injured and treated on the scene. It is not known if they were hospitalized or not.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for some time until police were able to clear the scene. This led to extensive delays for a while.
