East Pennsboro Township, PA (June 2, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, June 1, one person was killed in a fatal truck accident in East Pennsboro Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-81 around the area of mile marker 64.5. The driver of the southbound vehicle, identified as a 53-year-old man from Ohio, was rushed to a local hospital where he was tragically pronounced deceased. The driver in the illegally-parked truck was not hurt.
A large portion of the road was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
