Philadelphia, PA – Jason Arroyo Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident at 6th St & Hunting Park Ave

Philadelphia, PA (August 9, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place at an intersection in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, August 8.

According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of 6^th Street and Hunting Park Avenue. Police confirmed that a male motorcyclist was traveling west on Hunting Park Avenue while a Ford F-150 was traveling east. The Ford started to make a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, causing the motorcycle to slam into the side of the Ford.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as 41-year-old Jason Arroyo, was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. He was tragically pronounced dead while there at 5:41 p.m.

The driver of the Ford remained on the scene to speak with the police. They did not say if he would be facing any charges.

The road was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident. They will update with any new information as it becomes available.
