College Twp, PA – Man Dead in Motorcycle Collision on E College Ave
College Township, PA (August 29, 2024) – According to the Pennsylvania State Police troopers, a motorcyclist has now died after being hit during rush hour by a driver in College Township on Monday.
State College police further confirmed in a press release issued on Tuesday that the 22-year-old man was hit at about 4:20 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East College Avenue and Struble Road.
A 73-year-old man driving a Toyota Prius turned left onto Struble Road when he collided with the motorcyclist, who was driving east on East College Avenue, police wrote. The motorcyclist was ejected and flown by a medical helicopter to UPMC Altoona, where he was pronounced dead, police wrote. The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police wrote. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash, police wrote. However, the inquiry is active and ongoing in the interim. In addition, local police have asked any witnesses to reach out.
