Coatesville, PA – Theresa Farrell Killed in Fatal Collision at Rte 82 & Manor Rd

Coatesville, PA (October 5, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal car accident that took place at an intersection in Coatesville on Monday afternoon, October 3.

According to Valley Township Police, the accident happened around 3:14 p.m. at the intersection of Route 82 and Manor Road. Police confirmed that a black Kia Forte was making a left turn at the intersection when two vehicles that were traveling south struck the Kia. The Kia spun around in traffic and was pushed all the way down the road until they came to a stop. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver inside one of the vehicles, identified as 75-year-old Theresa Marie Farrell, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Two other parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to Paoli Hospital and Trauma Center by ambulances. Their conditions are not currently known.

Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked for more than four hours. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
