Newberry, PA – Woman Killed in Fatal Collision on Old Trl Rd

Newberry, PA (October 4, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal collision that took place on a roadway in Newberry Township on Tuesday morning, October 4.

According to local officials, the accident happened around 9 a.m. at 700 Old Trail Road. Police confirmed that a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on the roadway when it suddenly entered the northbound lane at high speeds. The vehicle was struck by a Jeep Wrangler that was unable to stop in time.

Several local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A woman inside one of the vehicles, identified only as a 39-year-old from Harrisburg, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Three others were injured, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for some time following the crash. Police confirmed that this particular stretch of road is known for having many crashes.
