Chadds Ford, PA – One Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on PA-202

Chadds Ford, PA (December 18, 2022) – Around 4 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, December 18, a pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident in Chadds Ford.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened on PA-202 around the area of Johnson Farm Lane and Watkin Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they stepped into the right lane of traffic. A passing vehicle suddenly struck the pedestrian. After doing so, the driver pulled over and remained at the scene until police arrived.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.

Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area. This led to delays until police cleared the scene. Police did not say if the involved driver will be charged for their role in the accident.
