York Co, PA - Fatal Motorcycle Collision Closes I-83 Near Yocumtown

York County, PA (May 29, 2024) – Pennsylvania State Police troopers reported that a deadly motorcycle crash shut down a part of Interstate 83 in York County on Tuesday, May 28.

According to officers, the incident happened in the southbound lanes near Yocumtown, just before Newberry Township. Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, and York Station responded to the scene at 1:05 p.m. There is currently no word on all of the victims' conditions, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital. The inquiry is active and ongoing in the interim, though police have asked any witnesses to reach out in the meantime.
