Wolf Creek Township, PA (July 31, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in Wolf Creek Township on Sunday afternoon, July 29.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that the accident happened around 12 p.m. on I-80 around the area of the Grove City exit. Police confirmed that Daniel Lee Leinen was changing a tire on the driver’s side of his vehicle when a semi-truck ran into him. It is believed that the truck driver stopped at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is not known if anyone else sustained injuries in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
