Williamstown, PA (January 13, 2023) – On Thursday morning, January 12, a teen was killed in a fatal collision that took place at a Williamstown intersection and involved three vehicles.

According to State Police, the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 209 and Railroad Street. Police confirmed that 74-year-old Kenneth Long was in a pickup truck and attempted to make a left turn at the intersection. Police said that a 17-year-old boy in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt approached the intersection and collided with the pickup truck due to reasons that are still being investigated in the southbound lane of travel.

The Cobalt was then projected into a utility pole and a tree, where it then slid down an embankment. Police confirmed that the pickup truck struck a 2018 Ford Edge being driven by 51-year-old Tifini Crosby before coming to a rest. The involved vehicles sustained extensive damage as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to assist. The 17-year-old boy was rushed to Penn State Hershey Medical Center but was tragically pronounced deceased while there due to traumatic injuries. The other involved individuals were not injured in the accident.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.

We would like to offer our warmest condolences to the family and friends of the victim whose life was taken prematurely in this horrific accident.
