Gilbertsville, PA – Individual Killed in Motorcycle Crash at N Charlotte St & Swamp Pke
Gilbertsville, PA (June 12, 2023) – At around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, an individual was killed in a motorcycle accident in Gilbertsville.
According to Montgomery County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of North Charlotte Street and Swamp Pike. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling south in the area on North Charlotte when their vehicle was involved in a collision with an SUV, which was on Swamp Pike at the time. Police have not released exact details on what caused the vehicles to collide, but extensive damages were reported.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
